Block Island School September Technology Expectations
In support of improved student learning, national educator technology performance indicators, most noticeable
standard 3 for administrators and standards 3 and 5 for teachers, and effective home/school communication, the
Block Island School sets the following minimum expectations for use of the school website.
These expectations are the minimum, and the utilization of the school website as a tool is encouraged. It is also
understood that the use of technology to support student learning and home/school communication is rapidly
developing. Consequently, these are not static expectations, but are expected to be revised, updated, and improved
at regular intervals as capacity and best practice evolves.
